Expert-IT, a Belgian SME specialising in custom software development since 1996, supports its clients over the long term with tailored and sustainable solutions.

As part of a collaboration with MCG, a company active in cybersecurity, Expert-IT was asked to integrate structured e-invoicing into a lightweight ERP developed specifically for this client. Regulatory compliance became urgent due to the mandatory use of Peppol for B2G (Business-to-Government) e-invoicing, and increasingly important with the upcoming B2B (Business-to-Business) requirements planned for 2026.

Challenges

Expert-IT needed to solve two key issues:

1Find a reliable, well-documented, cost-effective Peppol Access Point, easily integrable via API into a custom-built ERP system

2Ensure full compliance for MCG, both for current B2G requirements (via the Mercurius platform) and upcoming B2B mandates (via the Peppol network)

The client can now generate and send Peppol e-invoices directly from their own ERP, independently and without switching systems.

In Adfinity, clients can see the detailed status of every invoice. They can also automatically generate status updates for their own customers, no emails or calls needed. This saves a lot of time, improves reliability and supports the continuous traceability that will soon be required by European tax authorities.
